How to Select the Right Conveyor Wear Strip Profile

Step-by-step procedure

1. Identify chain type and pitch. Measure chain pitch, roller diameter and side plate height to choose strip profile.
2. Choose material grade. UHMWPE for high abrasion, HDPE for cost, PA66 for higher temperature.
3. Select profile geometry. T-slot for chain capture, tongue-and-groove for continuous runs, flat for slat conveyors.
4. Confirm width and thickness. Width should equal chain side-plate width + 1 mm clearance; thickness 8–25 mm typical.
