A limestone quarry's primary feed conveyor (1.6 m belt width, 800 t/h, ~2.4 m drop from the apron feeder) was burning through belt covers because the original steel impact bars under the receiving zone had nowhere to absorb the impact. The result: a belt cover replacement every 14 – 16 months.
Shipped 18 days from drawing approval, 24 bars on one half-pallet (~520 kg). Customer paid LCL ocean freight Qingdao – Genoa.
32 months later: belt cover wear at the receiving zone is roughly 40 % less. Wear face on the UHMWPE bars is ~12 mm gone of 30 mm — projected 6 – 8 year service life on the impact bars themselves. Estimated savings on belt cover replacements alone: 1.5× the cost of the entire impact bar order.
