Upgrading a slat-chain conveyor on an aluminium can filler from a generic to CT-K profile UHMWPE chain guide.
An aluminium can filler running a Sidel-style slat-chain conveyor was getting cans tipping at the upstream side of accumulation tables because the side guidance on the existing flat chain guide was insufficient when the conveyor backed up.
The T-A flat-top profile is fine for non-accumulating chain conveyors. As soon as the conveyor accumulates (cans push against each other when downstream stops), the side load goes up and you need a guidance wall or you tip cans. CT-K delivers that wall without retooling the conveyor frame — the wall is part of the polymer guide, not the steel structure.
